Erik Gordier An underground gem of 80’s heavy metal. The 40th anniversary remix breathes new life into this classic. Everything sounds fuller, richer, and heavier.

Hail Ungol. Favorite track: Frost and Fire (40th Anniversary Remix).

the░leper░knight░of░oban I can't believe how good the 40th anniversary remix sounds. Everything is richer, fuller, and more nuanced, including the vocals. The 2021 remaster is more faithful to the original sound, and it's nice to get both versions with this release. Favorite track: I'm Alive (40th Anniversary Remix).

Brandon Corsair Perhaps it's just that I'm not the normal target audience for "lavish" special vinyl reissues but I don't own a single individual thing quite as cool as the artbook edition of Frost and Fire that just got here. Beautifully illustrated with extensive liner notes and presented as an honest to god 12x12 cover book, this is the best tribute to the best band. Favorite track: Frost and Fire (2021 Remaster).
